View People and Sub-units for a Unit

Once you have created units under your structure, you can see the People and Sub Unit links appearing for that unit.

If the employees and the subunits exist under the sub-unit then their number appears with their links else ‘0’ is displayed.

Viewing Sub-Units

To view  Sub Units for a unit, you need to:

  1. Log into the system as an HR Manager.
  2. Go to Settings >> Employee Management >> Organization Chart.

    The Manage Organization Structure page appears, as shown in Figure 1.

  3. Click Sub Unit link for the unit for which you want to view the sub units.

    The corresponding Sub Units for the unit appear in the Level 2 column with the unit name. The Figure 2 shows the sub units of the unit Corporate HQ.

    Each sub unit again shows the People and Sub Unit links appearing for that unit.

  4. You can again click on the Sub Unit link to view the sub-sub-units for that sub-unit.

    The sub units of the select unit appears in Level 3 column and so on. After Level three, the Level 1 appears as a link in left hand side and the new column appears, as shown in Figure 3.

    If the hierarchy keeps increasing, the previous levels keep appearing as links. You can create as many levels as you want.

Viewing People

To view  people in a unit, you need to:

  1. Log into the system as an HR Manager.
  2. Go to Settings >> Employee Management >> Organization Chart.

    The Manage Organization Structure page appears, as shown in Figure 4.

  3. Click People link for the unit for which you want to view the employees under it.

    A list of employees appear at the extreme right hand side of the page under the column Manage Employee(s) >> <Unit/sub-unit name>, as shown in Figure 5.

  4. Click Mange Roles link for an employee to assign that employee a role.

    The Assign Employee Role window appears, as shown in Figure 6.

    The window displays the employee’s details and allows you to select the desired role for the employee.

  5. Select the corresponding check box for a role in the Select field.

  6. Click Assign, as shown in Figure 7.

    The role is successfully assigned to the employee and appears in front of the employee on the Manage Organization Structure page, as shown in Figure 8.
