Setup Travel Modes

The Setup Travel Modes functionality allows you to add travel modes to the Travel sub-module. All the travel modes that you add here are available to the users while creating their travel request.

To setup travel modes, you need to:

  1. Log in as HR Manager/ HR Admin.
  2. Go to Settings >> Employee Self Services Settings >> Travel & Expenses, as shown in Figure 1.
  3. Click Setup Travel Modes link from the Travel & Expenses page that appears.

    The Setup modes of Travel page appears, as shown in Figure 2.

    The page displays the existing modes of travel and their subgroups and allows you to add more modes of travel and their subgroups.

  4. Click (+) icon near Mode of Travel field to add a new mode of travel.

    The window allowing you to add a mode of travel appears, as shown in Figure 3.

  5. Provide the name of the mode of travel that you want to add in the Mode of Travel field and then click Save.

    The Enable checkbox is selected by default. You can disable it, if you don’t want to allow the use of this mode of travel to the users now.

    The mode of travel is successfully added and a message suggesting the same appears, as shown in Figure 4.

    You can now add sub-groups for the mode of travel that you had added.

  6. Roll on the mouse on the category to which you want to add subgroups and then click on the (+) icon from the pop up icons that appear, as shown in Figure 5.

    The Mode of Travel : <mode of travel name> window appears, as shown in Figure 6.

  7. Provide the name of the subgroup that you want to add in the Subgroup Name field and then click Save.

    The Enable checkbox is selected by default. You can disable it, if you don’t want to allow the use of this subgroup to the users now.

    The subgroup is successfully added and a message suggesting the same appears, as shown in Figure 7.

  8. Roll on the mouse to the subgroup that you have added and then select modify icon to modify the name of the subgroup or disable the subgroup.

    When you disable a subgroup, the subgroup will not be visible to the users.
